Martha Speaks

Martha Speaks by Susan Meddaugh is about a dog who eats alphabet soup and can then talk. Martha begins ordering food and bossing people around.

I had read this book to children before and found it humorous and entertaining, as do the children. Very clever concept!.

The "Martha speaks" series is a favorite "read aloud" with my 4 and 6 year old grandsons. Also provides a lot of "fodder" for conversations about being polite!.
